Early Life

Suchetha Satish was born to Ayilliath Sumitha and Dr TC Satish at Kannur on 17th August 2005.

She moved to Dubai when she was 2 months old and she finished her schooling there. She has an elder brother Dr Sushant Satish who is her strongest supporter and critic.

She started singing at the age of 3 and started learning carnatic music from age 4. Her first gurus in Carnatic music were Mrs Padmavathy and Ms Annie Dominic. By the age of 10 she started learning Hindustani music from guru Smt Sujata Harishkumar, from the Banaras Gharana and Shri Jayaprasad. She is presently learning music from the legendary composer Shri Jerry Amaldev, the award winning singer Smt Asha Menon and Ms Hanna Nialezina from Belarus.

She is an academically good student having won the Sheikh Hamdan Award in 2014. She is presently pursuing her Bachelors in Digital Media and Communication in Middlesex University, Dubai.

Her interest in learning foreign languages started following the visit of a Japanese friend to their house in the year 2014. Japanese was the first foreign language she learned followed by Tagalog and Arabic and the number kept increasing.

The Journey of Multilingual Singing

After getting good feedback regarding the diction in singing Japanese, Tagalog and Arabic Suchetha continued to learn new languages. Her first Television interview was in the program titled Arabian Stories in Mathrubhumi TV in Jan 2016 when she was featured as a 10 year old girl singing in 15 languages.

The number increased to 25 on first Jan 2017 when she was live on Club FM

In Feb 2017 Asianet Gulf Round Up highlighted her ability to sing in 30 languages in their weekend program

In June 2017 Mathrubhumi newspaper featured her in the youth section as a multilingual singer who sings in 42 languages.

In late September 2017 Manorama TV and the popular fortnightly magazine Vanitha featured her ability to sing in 65 languages.

In mid November 2017 Gulf News highlighted her ability to sing in 80 languages and broke the news of her attempt to set a World Record.

On January 25th 2018 Suchetha Satish sang in 102 languages over 6 hours and 15 minutes in a public program called Music Beyond Boundaries at the Indian Consulate Auditorium Dubai and set Two World Records. The records were adjudicated by the World Record Academy based in Miami USA, who had their representatives present throughout the event, which was also live on the facebook. The program was open to public and was attended by music lovers, friends, Consulate Staff including the Consuls and the Consul General of India to Dubai HE Shri Vipul. The first World Record was for Most Languages Sung During One Concert where she broke the previous record of 76 languages set by Ghazal Srinivas as she sang in 102 languages. The second World Record was for the Longest Live Singing Concert by a Child when she broke the record of the Romanian girl Andra Gogan who sang 55 songs in 3 hours and 20 minutes as she sang for 6 hours and 15 minutes.

In her thanksgiving speech after setting the Record Suchetha dedicated the records to the Prime Ministers of India and UAE namely Shri Narendra Modi and HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and to people of various nationalities living in these two great nations. Suchetha urged the youth to stay away from Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs and use music and sports to attain a high.

Suchetha continued to learn new languages and was featured in ETV as a singer who sings in 116 languages in July 2019. On August 19th 2021 Suchetha Satish set a Guinness World Records by singing in 120 languages at the Indian Consulate Auditorium Dubai in a program titled Music Beyond Borders.

During the Expo 2020 in Dubai, Suchetha had the proud privilege of singing with the acclaimed Firdaus Orchestra mentored by the legendary composer Shri AR Rahman, on March 8th 2022 on the occasion of the International Women’s day.

On November 24th 2023 as a prelude to COP28, Suchetha performed her Concert for Climate, where sang in 140 languages in 9 hours to set a new Guinness World Record.

Her multilingual singing skill also enabled her to release 2 original Bhutanese songs, the first one Toh Dha Tsoem, a duet with Shri Hemlal Darjee in July 2022 and the second Gaw Mey Mey, a duet with Tshering Dorji. Both the songs were composed by Lhab Tshering aka Azha Lhaba and were released at the Indian Embassy Bhutan.

On May 7th 2022, which was the 161st Birth Anniversary of the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, she had the good fortune of releasing an album in Arabic for the first time of 3 iconic songs including Ekla Chalo Re, Alokere Jharna Dara, Nai Nai Bhoy. This was composed by Shri Dev Chakraborty and the lyrics translation in Arabic was penned by Dr Shihab Ghanem

She has performed professional multiligual concerts in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Thimphu.

She recorded an Arabic song for a Malayalam film Ayisha composed by the national award winning composer Shri M Jayachandran in Jan 2023.

She was the youngest member of the Signatures Band which included Doctor friends of her father. They have performed on many occasions at the Indian Consulate Auditorium.

Her aim is to pursue music , learn more languages and become an international performer.

Blessings

Suchetha was lucky to meet and have the Blessings of many legends in music from a very early age. She considers the legendary singer Smt P.Susheela as her Godmother. Susheelamma has been a constant source of support and encouragement from her very young age of 8 and continues to guide her. She was also blessed by the Bharat Ratna and former President of India Shri APJ Abdul Kalam. Suchetha was also fortunate to meet other legends like Oscar Award winning composer Shri AR Rahman, the celestial singer Ganagandharvan Shri KJ Yesudas, the versatile Shri SP Balasubramaniam, the nightingale Smt KS Chithra and Isaignani Shri Ilayaraja. She was also lucky to present a tribute and seek the blessings of Smt Asha Bhosle. Other persons to motivate her from early age include the national award winning composer Shri M Jayachandran, with whom she recorded a beautiful song recently and the motivational speaker and Merlin award winning magician Shri Gopinath Muthikad. She was also fortunate to be associated with the singer lyricist composer Shri Ajaygopal with whom she has recorded most of her songs. She has also recorded a few songs with the Bollywood composer Shri Monty Sharma , including the iconic songs Fifty Glorious Years as a tribute to HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the visionary leader of UAE and the song Namo NaMo Vishwaguru Bharat as a tribute to India and its leader Shri Narendra Modi. She also considers herself lucky to have met and interacted with noted singers like Shri Hariharan, Shri Anoop Sanker and Shri Vijay Yesudas. Her role model is Smt Shreya Ghoshal and she was overjoyed in meeting her. Suchetha also considers herself fortunate to be associated with the famous Emirati Poet Dr Shihab Ghanem and the composer/singer Shri Dev Chakraborty with whom she has sung several Arabic songs. Her mother Ayilliath Sumitha is a lyricist too and has written a couple of songs for her including Maa Tuje Sau Salam which was composed by her dad’s close friend Dr Vimal Kumar Kalipurayath and officially released by the legendary actor Shri Mohanlal. She was also lucky to meet the legendary Malayalam actor Shri Mammooty who released her first Arabic song. She is also indebted to the former Consul Generals at CGI Dubai Shri Vipul , Dr Aman Puri and the present CG Shri Satish Kumar Sivan for their constant support and encouragement.
